What is The Mindful Me, and what makes it different from other programs?

The Mindful Me is a coaching program dedicated to helping kids and teens develop essential life skills like emotional regulation, stress management, organization, and mindfulness. Unlike traditional tutoring or therapy, we focus on empowering young people with practical strategies and tools to navigate everyday challenges. Our approach combines elements of mental health, education, and personal development in a safe, supportive environment.


How are the programs tailored to different ages?

We work with kids and teens across four age groups: 5-7, 8-11, 12-14, and 15-17. Each program is specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of these age ranges. For younger children, our focus is on foundational skills like emotional awareness and basic mindfulness. As kids grow, we introduce more advanced topics like stress management, relationship skills, and organization to prepare them for the complexities of adolescence and young adulthood.


How does The Mindful Me support my child’s emotional & mental well-being?

Our program emphasizes building a safe space for children to explore and understand their emotions. Through activities like guided mindfulness practices, emotional regulation techniques, and stress management exercises, we help children learn how to navigate their feelings and cope with life’s ups and downs. Our goal is to equip them with lifelong skills that promote mental and emotional well-being.


How do you ensure my child feels comfortable in sessions?

We offer group coaching sessions that are designed to create a sense of community and peer support. Our groups are organized by age to ensure the content is relevant and engaging for each developmental stage. We maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where children can freely express themselves and learn from one another. Our experienced coaches facilitate activities that promote collaboration, empathy, and respect, ensuring every child feels safe and supported.


What qualifications do the coaches at The Mindful Me have?

Our team is led by professionals with a strong background in mental health and education. Matt holds a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and Jessica in Educational Leadership. Matt is also a certified school counselor. Together, Matt and Jess have 20 years of experience in education and counseling, and they are dedicated to providing high-quality support tailored to the needs of children and teens.


How do I know if my child would benefit from The Mindful Me program?

Our program is designed for any child or teen who could use support in managing emotions, stress, organization, or social relationships. If your child experiences challenges with anxiety, self-esteem, focus, or navigating social situations, our coaching can offer practical tools and strategies.
